Oceanic Homes Savings and Loans Limited in conjunction with AHCON Estates Limited is developing an 800 Unit housing Estate, AHCON Garden Estate in Agbara, Ogun State to boost government efforts at providing affordable houses to the teeming homeless Nigerians.
Houses in the estate are categorized into three bed room detached bungalows and four bedroom semi-detached duplexes with facilities such as good roads, drains, treated water supply and packing space for each apartment. 
The estate can also boast of generator powered street lights, internet links, and security gate with telephone connectivity to each apartment including recreational parks, shopping malls, clinic and schools.
The housing scheme according to Oceanic Homes is a strategic partnership aimed at providing easy access to house acquisition financing through the National Housing Fund (NHF) especially in the face of the global credit crunch.
Mr. Eniola Toyin, marketing manager of AHCON Estates Limited said the project is envisioned to take care of all strata of the society, explaining that while many other estates being developed in the country cater only for the interest of the rich, AHCON Estate has been designed with the low income earners in mind as well as the middle class and the rich.
Oceanic Homes’ business focus is centered on the key areas of mortgages, project management, facility management, joint ventures and normal banking services. The mortgage bank handles facility management for a number of clients ranging from conglomerates, oil & gas firms to university communities.  Oceanic Homes manages projects for individuals, institutions and has a number of projects on board. Other projects involving Oceanic Homes includes the ultra-modern Ikeja Cantonment Market Complex which comprises of several hundreds of lock-up shops and open stalls; an exquisite development of modern housing with Suru Worldwide Ventures in the Ikeja Government Reserve Area.
Oceanic Homes is also involved in the development of Ibara Flagship Estate in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The estate consists of customized 3 and 4 bedroom semi-detached houses with serviced quarters. Amongst the unique features of Ibara is the capacity for buyers to determine the level and quality of finishing for their property and tailor the cost of the property according to their financial capacity.
As part of strategic efforts to position itself in the nation’s real estate sector, Oceanic Homes plans to open branches in major cities. The wholly owned mortgage banking subsidiary of Oceanic Bank international Plc is set to open branches in Ikeja, Lagos Island and Abuja. Apart from planning to open new branches, the mortgage bank is also planning to extend its value driven services to Port Harcourt, Warri and other places.
