Omatek Ventures Plc, a subsidiary of one of the leading Original Equipment Manufacturers in the country, Omatek Computers has assured the readiness of the firm to recruit more channel partners, resellers, franchises and service providers across Africa as part of its strategy to sustain the growing trend of the company’s sales and in its effort to bring its products nearer to its numerous buyers. Florence Seriki, managing director of the company disclosed this recently at the Resellers’ Forum held at the Elomaz Hotel, Maryland, Lagos.
To fully harness these opportunities, Seriki said that a new subsidiary known as Omatek Ventures Distribution Ltd. has been established to deal with partners and sell finished products to its teeming buyers. With chains of Omatek showrooms springing up, opportunities exist for franchise shops with display products, marketing materials, point of sales materials, full branding and training to be provided by Omatek. T It could be recalled that the company recently opened a model showroom at the Ikota Shopping Complex in response to the demand for Omatek products.
Speaking further on the occasion, Seriki said that the large turn out of computer marketing companies at the Resellers’ Forum was a testimony of the wide acceptability of Omatek products, even as she said that Omatek remains the only company in Africa that produces computers and casings from Completely Knocked Down (CKD) components sourced from the highest grades of manufacturers, making all Omatek Computers a world- class standard comparable to any other foreign brand.
Seriki urged Nigerians to be more patriotic by patronizing ‘Made- in- Nigeria’ products, especially when it has been proven that these products can perform effectively, if not better than their foreign counterparts.
With the emergence of more service providers and resource centres, she said that banks and other large corporations can now heave a sigh of relief as this will enhance after sales support
Reiterating the company’s willingness to evolve more value- added products, Seriki added that Omatek is also ready to partner with other computer companies interested in bundling their products.
In addition to computer products, Omatek also has on its stable, home entertainment products, Inverters, UPS and other Power Back up products.
