The ATM Industry Association has launched "The Cash Repository" a standalone website created specifically for the collection and permanent storage of data and information about cash and cash use worldwide.
Use of the repository is free and open to all.
According to a press release, the repository will include published materials about cash from all types of sources. This information will be categorized and stored in designated "deposit boxes" labeled for reports, infographics, articles, videos, white papers, presentations and position papers, and useful web links and FAQs.
"So much nonsense is written, spoken and speculated about cash that it's important to have a repository like this where the real data, the real trends and information about the real role of cash in society can be stored and accessed," said ATMIA CEO Mike Lee. "The Cash Repository" is a treasury of the truth about global cash."
Lee thanked Eric Cross of ATMIA and Chris Anderson of Networld Media Group, publisher of ATM Marketplace, for contributions to the design and population of the cash repository.
