OTL Africa Downstream & Logistics Expo Gathers Momentum

Oil Trading and Logistics (OTL Africa) Downstream conference and exhibition, the continent's premier summit of players in petroleum products trading marketing and supply, is gathering momentum, as the organizers sure of success.

Joyce Ebairewe Enaboifo, representative of the Organizers in a statement said that OTL-Africa is meant to show that the Nigeria oil and gas industry is without doubt important to the economy of the nation, as key stakeholders come together at this year's event to discuss the way forward in the nation's petroleum downstream sector.

She said that the event will traverse a strong value-chain that includes refining, trading, shipping, storage, haulage, distribution, marketing, equipment manufacturing and supplies, regulation and varied associated professional services.

Enaboifo said that, OTL Africa Downstream 2014 offers opportunity for products and services showcase, high-level networking, business match-making and learning.

According to her, “Oil Trading and Logistics (OTL Africa) Downstream Expo is the continent's premier summit of players in petroleum products trading marketing and supply. The 8th edition of OTL Africa Downstream will hold from 28-30 October 2014 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

“You can't afford to miss this year's edition as full details of the OTL downstream innovation challenge will be unveiled; with a focus on enhancing industry value through increased efforts in Research and Development,” she revealed.

She added that the challenge will be open to individuals and organisations who have developed solutions which they consider could significantly increase value, productivity and efficiency in any aspect of business and operations in the downstream petroleum value chain.

Enaboifo noted that young persons, schools and research focused organisations are particularly encouraged to put forward entries as this can multiply value in downstream petroleum business and operations in Africa.
