The third and largest annual TEF entrepreneurship forum of the above foundation is billed to hold in October 13-14 in Lagos Nigeria.
More than one thousand three hundred African entrepreneurs [1300] Business leaders, policy makers from fifty four countries across the world are expected to be in attendance.
Also one of the significant aspects of this year’s programme is that there are non TEF entrepreneurs from America, Morocco and other countries who will also be in attendance voluntarily because of their passion for TEF to share ideas and establish relationship with these upcoming entrepreneurs.
This Africa’s largest philanthropy from the foundation is created and focused on supporting entrepreneurship and interestingly more than 100 million has been committed which has benefited and empowered 10,000 Africa entrepreneurs and according to said Tony Elumelu, TEF founder. “In just 3 years our 3,000 entrepreneurs have created tens of thousands of jobs and generated considerable wealth. On October 13 and 14 TEF have Invited the global entrepreneurship community to Lagos targeted towards the realization of the new Africa.
The two days event features plenary panels, master classes sector specific networking opportunities as well as policy led talks focused on improving the enabling environment for African business.
The founder will use the opportunity to give award to 5 people and create room for relationship among his entrepreneurs ,forge partnership and strengthen the pan African network because the chairman believe that the future of Africa lies on their youths that is why he preaches that Africa does not need AIDS rather Investments. The training also is aimed at giving youths understanding on how to set up impactful businesses therefore the CEO said “I urge policy makers and investors to join us at the forum as we empower the next generation of Africa business titans”.
Among the speakers at the event includes the vice president of federal republic of Nigeria prof yemi Osinbajo, Wale Ayeni, International finance corporation: Stephen Tio Kauma ,Afrixim bank: Andre Hue, African development bank: Stephan M. Haykin, USAID Nigeria ; Heikke Reugger; European investment bank; Abdoulaye Mar Dieye, united nations Development programme.
The foundation’s long –term investment in empowering African entrepreneurs is a product of Tony Elumelus philosophy of Africapitalism, which positions Africa’s private sector, and most importantly its entrepreneurs as the catalysts for social and economic development of the continent.
