The colds hand of death has snatched Ozioma Akubeze, one of the pre-eminent ICT journalists and was until his death deputy editor, Africa Telecom & IT Magazine.
Aged 47, he reportedly died after an illness which has kept him off his job for more than a year.
Ozioma was, without doubt, an ICT enthusiast who asked many questions because he wanted to know more and greatly impacted his profession that he cannot be easily forgotten.
His health problems begun mid last year when he reportedly returned home from work on Friday night and slumped while eating.
His wife rushed him to a nearby private hospital, but was referred to LUTH for specialist attention.
Ozioma made a remarkable recovery but the ICT world was shocked when Prince Osuagwu, former president, JACITAD, the umbrella professional body of ICT Journalism in Nigeria announced Ozioma’s death on the group’s online interactive forum.
May his soul rest in peace
