Philips on Monday announced details around its participation in the Dreamforce 2015 conference in San Francisco, Calif. September 15-18, demonstrating its commitment to help transform health care into a seamless and people-centric experience throughout the full health continuum.
As the Manufacturing Featured Partner at the Salesforce Customer Showcase, Philips will demonstrate the power of connecting consumer and health devices, including mobile applications and lighting, to help consumers develop healthier habits for life.
Building on the strategic alliance announced with Salesforce last year, Philips will also showcase how its deep consumer and clinical knowledge and IT capabilities combined with Salesforce’s customer relations management platform enable meaningful data-driven, clinical innovations.
With the goal of helping patients and caregivers work together in new and connected ways to make more confident health and lifestyle-related decisions, Philips will premiere a robust digital health solution to improve care for the nearly 400 million diabetes patients worldwide and their caregivers.
“The digital health revolution is empowering consumers to take more control of their personal health and wellness, and data from connected devices is giving us deeper insights into how we can approach population health management, especially for those people living with chronic disease,” said Jeroen Tas, CEO, Healthcare Informatics Solutions and Services, Philips. “By securely connecting patient-gathered information to clinical data and turning this into actionable information, we’re helping promote better self-management and, potentially, improve overall patient health.”
Philips executives will also be on site at Dreamforce participating in sessions and keynote presentations, including:
Salesforce Customer Theater Keynote: Connecting Patients & Providers for Continuous Care – On Thursday, September 17 at 9:30 a.m. PDT, Jeroen Tas and Lucien Engelen, director REshape Innovation Center at Radboud university medical center, will discuss how health care and technology are merging to enable improved care and will demonstrate Philips’ new prototype in partnership with Radboudumc and Salesforce.
