Niyi Ologunleko chief executive officer, Prosellers Nigeria, has said that his company launched an electronic device that will facilitate easy tracking of kidnappers, criminals and oil bunkerers in the country.
He disclosed this in Abuja, while responding to the recent kidnapping of Pete Edochie,  a popular Nollywood actor and film maker,  by unknown persons in Onitsha, Anambra State.
He said the device would enable security officials to easily track down perpetrators of such evil  act even as  he explained that once the person is connected to the device, it generates data in  form of SMS to several pre-identified phone numbers and will show the exact location and time of operation.
According to him, the technology  becomes important  in view of the high cases of the atrocious act  unleashed on citizens and foreigners by rascals, which he described as worrisome. He added that, Prosellers Nigeria is collaborating with Tramigo GPS/GSM giant of Fin land in the launch of the tracking device in the country.
Ologunleko said, the device will monitor the locations of kidnapper with their ammunitions, hideout and will enable victims to be rescued.
He explained that his team of researchers had over the years embarked on a process of finding ways to tackle the problems of oil bunkering, vandalisation, car snatching and kidnapping.
Engr. Arto Tiitinen, chief executive officer, Tramigo Worldwide, said that the device is one modern innovation that Tramigo has offered in recent times to discerning users Worldwide. He said there is no-subscription fees require to use the service, as it is easy-to-use with no base-station, just-SMS. He added that, it is about time for all Nigerians to free themselves from tracking solutions that involve complex contracts and yearly subscription.
