Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and leading energy solution provider has equipped IT managers in the Nigerian public sector with solutions that will enable them optimize their energy consumption in new and existing data centers.

At an event tagged IT Solutions Day that took place in Abuja, IT managers, Chief Information Officers and facility managers from public sector, government agencies and parastatals were taken through APC by Schneider Electric’s latest IT products and solutions offer including UPS, Cooling Racks, Network Closets, Data centers as well as IT services. Furthermore, the company shared with participants the latest top 10 tips on how to reduce their IT costs by up to 30 per cent.

Josiah Mogbonjubola, enterprise accounts manager, Schneider Electric Nieria, said the event focused on latest trends in data centre management, the challenges and how to resolve them and also afforded participants the opportunity to discover quick fix solutions for their data centers and UPS issues.

He said: “Schneider Electric has the latest software tools that are able to provide real-time information on the status of data centers and IT facilities. It is clear that that the war on energy waste will be won by putting an end to the use of outdated and inefficient solutions such as perimeter cooling for instance and adopting current trends such as Inrow cooling.”

Mogbonjubola stated that Schneider Electric will also be taking part in the forthcoming Cloud Computing and Datacentre roadshow organised by the International Data Corporation where current trends in big data management will be discussed taking place in Lagos on April 24.
