Security BSides Lagos, dubbed Nigeria's most technical cyber security conference is set to host its second edition.

This second edition, according to the promoters, promises to be interesting as technical presentations like hacking, IOT security, cloud security, DDOS attacks and other advanced cyber security topics will be discussed in this edition.

BSidesLagos is excited once again to host this community driven event at the Wheat Baker Hotel Ikoyi on the 25th of May 2017.

The maiden edition drew attention from international and local companies, interesting presentation was presented as well networking was carried out.

BSideslagos is founded by Edmond Onwuje and Bamidele Akinlaya.

Onwuje told Nigeria CommunicationWeek that call for papers, light presentation will started on the 17th of February 2017 and will end on 17th March 2017.

The flagship theme for this year will be “How secure is your Enterprise network”, he said.

"After submission of papers, the conference schedule and ticket sales will commence immediately. The price for this year ticket will be N15,000 (Fifteen thousand naira). Our maiden edition will attracted one hundred and fifty professionals and several companies. This year will promise to attract larger crowds", Edmond said, who is also the founder of seandovi security a cybersecurity company that specializes in Network penetration testing and software security testing.

Edmond also told Nigeria CommunicationWeek that this particular edition will feature presentations on cyber security that deals with the current threat landscape the country is facing.

"We are also offering training for this year edition, the training will take place at NITDA Software Testing Center, No 20B Niyi Okunbi street off bisola durosimi Lekki Phase One, Lagos.

"This training is targeted at quality assurance analyst, web application tester, software testing engineers and anyone interested in security.

"The training date is Monday14th May 2017 to Friday19th May 2017.
