Emedrep Nigeria Limited, a startup acquired by Sidmach, in collaboration with the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN), Lagos State, launched its first solution, PharmaMap, during the week.
The innovation is tipped to bring transformation into the pharmaceutical industry by ensuring that data on the location of registered pharmacies are made readily available.
According to the Managing Director of Emedrep Edwin Ajogun - "PharmaMap will revolutionise the regulation of pharmaceutical practice in Nigeria thereby eliminating the operation of unregistered premises. We are excited to be involved in this project brought about by the visionary leadership of ACPN Lagos and the Lagos State Government".
PharmaMap is a solution designed to geolocate registered Pharmaceutical premises and check proximity to other premises. With so many pharmacies not properly registered, PharmaMap seeks to make available to pharmaceutical associations, regulators, and state governments the location of registered premises.
Soon, individuals too will also be able to access this data and considerably reduce the risk of buying fake products.
Registered pharmacists in Lagos can download PharmaMap from Google Play store to complete their registration.
