As part of activities to mark Signal Alliance customer week 2016, the Company will host a roundtable on securing online Nigeria.
Identifying the imperative of the roundtable, Adanma Onuegbu, chief executive officer, said that Nigeria has moved online involving the people, businesses and governments and the benefits have been immense. “Communication. Collaboration. Financial inclusion. Poverty reduction. But there are dangers. Fraud, Data sovereignty, Critical data loss. Identify theft, Privacy”, she noted.
During its customer week this year, Signal Alliance will hold a conversation about how the industry can be secure moving Nigeria online.
The security roundtable is themed, “Securing an Online Nigeria”, and will bring domain experts to discuss the security implications of businesses and government agencies moving their operations online and how Nigeria can secure its online presence without compromising the benefits of businesses, governments, individuals et al.
She added that the roundtable which holds on March 9, 2016 in Lagos will host selected expert panel including practitioners, users and the press to discuss and agree on how the industry can better prepare Nigeria as “we get integrated more into the online community”.
She said that Signal Alliance is excited about this year’s Customer week, “recognizing our customers who have stood by Signal Alliance in its 20th year history. It’s important that we demonstrate both in words and action the importance of our customers. That is why for the past 5 years, we have chosen a week in March to honor our customers. Signal Alliance has served Nigerian corporations as they have grown and helped turn Nigeria into the leading economy in Africa. They deserve to be specially honored and this year’s Customer week will deepen the special relationship we have developed with customers and the community we serve.”
The Signal Alliance Enterprise Customer Night is also an awards show of sorts, for the longest standing customers of Signal Alliance.
