As part of Nigeria’s 49th anniversary celebrations , Technology Distributions Limited,  number one ICT distributor in West Africa has concluded plans to give the residents of Abuja and its environs an opportunity to feast on the best of information technology products, from leading international brands.
The industry leader is set to relocate its corporate headquarters from Lagos to Abuja for three days in October, with a bouquet filled with mouth watering technology seeped in exciting marketing schemes designed to give consumers an interactive and memorable experience. Technology Distributions, reputed to be the most effective link between world-class OEMs and the resellers, would be in Abuja with a retinue of top IT brands – Microsoft, HP, DELL, Toshiba, Acer, Zinox, EPSON, and APC.
Mrs. Chioma Chimere, general manager, marketing,   broke the good tidings at a recent visit to Abuja to conclude plans for the event tagged Digifiesta 2009.
As conceptualized, Digifiesta would feature a full blown 3-day exhibition, instant purchase and daily raffle draws, and a gala nite on the third day to consummate the experience. IT products for display would include servers, desktops, laptops, projectors, printers, consumables, cameras and photo smart printers.
Mrs. Chimere said that Digifiesta 2009 is designed to address the IT challenges of Resellers, IT managers in government and the organized private sector, educationists, military and para military establishments, SMEs, and parents. In her words “Digifiesta 2009 would confront IT end users with best quality products at affordable prices while linking them to outstanding OEMs. It is timed to coincide with the new academic session across the nation and educational institutions are expected to take advantage of the event to order the IT needs of the year.” She added that Digifiesta would not be entirely a buy and sell proposition as there are a lot of side attractions to tickle the consumers fancy.
TD commenced business in May 1999 as the pioneer bulk distributor of IT products in Nigeria with a vision “to pioneer the IT revolution in West Africa by launching the sub-region and indeed Africa into the league of IT nations”, and a mission to “consolidate into the biggest IT distributor in West Africa and to remain the industry benchmark for dynamism, efficiency, and competitiveness”. TD’s outstanding performance has earned the organization a gallery of Awards from the world’s leading IT manufacturers.  These awards include - Compaq Number 1 Distributor Award – 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2003; the APC Millennium Award 2003, Microsoft Nomination for Best Partner and Outstanding Performance Award 2005; HP Top Performer Award for Revenue and Growth 2005-2007; and NITTA Best Computer Distributor of the year 2006 and 2007.
Supported by a logistics arm in the Netherlands and a business office in the UK, TD has remained a high capacity distributor and has grown to become the recognized leader in West Africa and the largest distributor within the sub-region for HP, DELL, Microsoft, APC, EPSON, and Zinox. A responsible corporate citizen, Technology Distributions Limited continues to make huge investments sponsoring the development of mathematics in primary schools in Nigeria.
