Union Bank of Nigeria Plc has feted high networth customers in Lagos with a pledge to ensure that their needs and aspirations will continue to remain paramount at every level of the bank.
Funke Osibodu, the group managing director/Chief Executive of the bank, at a Customers’ Forum organized to appreciate customers said given the tremendous loyalty, support and confidence accorded to her and the bank, she will strive to promote and ensure strict compliance to quality service in order to rekindle and justify the confidence reposed in her. She reassured that her team was determined in making sure that every customer is accorded respect and dignity.
Her response to customers’ comments and questions was laced with definite position on issues raised; promising not to spare staff members that treated customers shabbily. According to her, in the nearest future, the bank would be one that customers would feel delighted at every point; adhere to banking ethics and professionalism in all ramifications and a bank with truly satisfied customers.
The customers expressed confidence in the new management and promised to ensure the success of the bank through sustained patronage; advising on the need for the bank to improve on the quality of service and sustain its support to key sectors of the economy, such as oil and gas, agriculture and entertainment.
Osibodu stressed quality customer service, risk management and control and staff reorientation as cardinal focus of the new Union Bank and encouraged customers to remain steadfast with the bank given the determination of the management to make it bigger, stronger and more reliable in all performance indices.
Meanwhile, arrangements have been concluded to use the 2009 Lagos International Trade Fair to reward loyal customers with the bank’s extended Savings Bonanza promotion. The bank’s numerous customers and prospective ones would be delighted and rewarded with friendly products and services, of which the Savings Bonanza promotion would reward loyalty.
The Savings Bonanza continues till January 2010 and one of the unique features of the Bonanza is that with N10,000 savings, the depositor qualifies for a prize, thus, making every saver a winner.
Like in other fairs, Union Bank’s ATM services would be available to visitors and exhibitors to satisfy their cash needs. Other customer values-driven products and services available at the bank’s stand comprise Union Ever – savings/current accounts based products, Union Life Time Accounts – consumer credit finance loan products and Union Galaxy – the electronic banking parcel. Union Bank’s customer friendly bouquet also features Money Line (Cashmaster), Importers Express Account, Distributor Commodity Link Account and Association Account (U-Trade).
