Union Bank of Nigeria Plc has inaugurated the Elite Banking segment, through which customers would be granted access to efficient financial services.
It said that with the new initiative, emerging middle class customers can now enjoy personalised banking services which are usually reserved for high net worth individuals.
The services include the provision of a relationship manager dedicated to them, access to exclusive lounges at select Union Bank branches where they can carry out banking transactions privately; and priority pass cards that would grant them access to 850 airport VIP lounges around the world.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Ibrahim Kwagarna, bank’s executive director Public Sector, said the move was part of efforts at reinvigorating its operation in line with current realities.
He said the launch of the segment is in line with the bank’s objective of providing simpler and smarter banking solutions to its customers; adding that this would be extended to cover all the banks’ branches.
He said that the launch, which started in Lagos before the Abuja event, would be replicated in all the branches of the bank nationwide.
Dayo Odulate, head, Elite and Royalty Banking, disclosed that the bank’s intention was to grant its customers access to unique banking services that fit their lifestyle.
She said “We recognise the need to pay special attention to the emerging middle class and this clearly shows how we intend to engage with our Elite Banking customers and support them fully in achieving their life, career and business goals and dreams.”
