Zinox Gets New Digital Assembly Plant

Zinox Technologies Group, Africa’s most integrated ICT group has completed the installation of its state-of the-art PC/Phones assembly plant in Lagos and is now poised to roll out high quality ICT equipment to fire the kiln of development.

The plant which has been powered after successful tests for reliability is the first of its kind in Africa and was completed ahead of the end of May 2013 deadline set by the management last year

The plant has capacity to assemble in-house brands as well as execute contract manufacturing for other brands.   

Mr. Echika Ezuka, corporate affairs consultant of the Zinox Group, said that the digital plant with multiclass functionality produces smart desktops; laptops; tablet PCs; phones is structured to produce a wider range of gadgets with available components.

Ezuka said that this digital plant has enhanced the capacity of Zinox to keep pace with international quality standards.

“Zinox would now be more competitive in terms of pricing, delivery and after sales support while increasing the rate of introducing new products”

The new plant, Ezuka, added is an opportunity for Zinox to customize large orders for its customers.

With an installed capacity and digital certification of 1250 PCs daily, the Zinox digital plant is expected to open new vistas to the entire IT sector – nurturing new brands, improving the quality of existing brands, and introducing new levels of flexibility with product design and architecture, all at costs that would reduce prices.

At last the IT sector can deliver huge orders at short notice.

Mr. Uche Onyechere, head of operations of Zinox, said that the foreign engineers who installed the digital plant worked in two shifts 24 hours daily, including Sundays, to achieve compatibility with the nation’s erratic power supply.

These engineers drawn from China and South Africa made sure the plant passed through all certifications stages, synchronizing the different sections of the plant and then tested production for a few days before internal commissioning.

Onyechere confirmed that Zinox now runs a full scale digital assembling which is rated globally with a failure rate of 0.001.
