Mr. Otuyemi Otule, director, IT Strategy, Planning and Architecture, Etisalat Nigeria, has given an insight into the action plan of the company, explaining that the company sees great opportunities for expansion in the market and to translate them into offers for the customer.
Otule, who stated this during Etisalat Nigeria recently organized a customer forum for its growing subscribers in Akure, encouraged Etisalat customers to be open and take advantage of Etisalat’s offerings.
He added: “as instructed by the NCC, we will ensure that our customers get their call billings for every transaction they make using their Etisalat line. All of these have been designed for the advantage of our customers and I encourage you to make the best use of these opportunities,” he disclosed.
He added that the goal of engaging them in an interactive session to receive feedback on its products, services and general experiences of its subscribers.
Addressing the subscribers at the forum which held at SunView Hotel, Alagbaka, Akure, Etisalat Head Customer Experience and Retention Management, Biola Edun thanked the customers for choosing the Etisalat network despite its late entry into the telecommunication market, and for remaining loyal to the network.
He stated that customers are the sole reason the network continues to grow in the Nigerian telecommunication market and that their satisfaction is key to measuring the company’s performance.
“As a customer-centric company, we value your role as customers in our business, because you play a vital role in the fast and expansive growth of our business. This forum serves as another opportunity to reiterate our commitment to you as customers and to have a one-on-one interaction and feedback session on your experience, thoughts and ideas about our network, products and services. We are so happy for all you have shared with us and we assure you that we will continue to meet your expectations and serve you the best way we can,” he said.
Responding on behalf of the customers, Chief Mrs. Cecelia Omotunde Maradesa, the Iyalode of Akure Kingdom, commended Etisalat for its concerted effort in making communication better in Akure.
“Ever since Etisalat came into this state, we have had cause to always smile, because they keep bringing new things to make our communication easier and better. Recently, they launched their 3G network here in Akure and since then we have had no cause to regret joining this wonderful network. I urge the company to continue to keep to its promise of delivering excellent services,” she said.
Another customer, Mrs. Doris Musa, a staff of the Federal Road Safety Commission, commended the company for bringing its customer forum to the state.
“I am glad I am attending the Etisalat customer forum because it has given us an avenue to have a one-on-one interaction with the company’s team members. Today, we got feedback on the company’s network operations, data services and customer care service, and I am happy that all the issues raised by the customers have been noted and some even resolved here. This shows that Etisalat is indeed a caring company,” she said.
