MultiChoice Nigeria has recorded another goal with the addition of Galaxy TV, a popular free to air (FTA) channel from Lagos, to its DStv platform.
Galaxy TV will broadcast current news from Nigeria, Africa and the rest of the world from today, Thursday, and will be on DStv channel 258. The channel will be available to Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Family and Access subscribers.
Galaxy TV, which was previously only available on GOtv, now joins the growing number of Nigeria’s FTA channels on DStv. Other FTA stations on DStv include; NTA I, Channels TV, Africa Independent Television (AIT), SilverBird Television, TVC, Lagos Television and ONTV MAX.
John Ugbe, managing director, MultiChoice Nigeria, said the addition of Galaxy TV will offer subscribers more local content options to choose from.
“We are deeply committed to Africa and support the growth of original African programming. Galaxy TV is Nigeria’s premiere private television station that broadcasts content from not only Nigeria but Africa and the rest of the world. The addition of Galaxy TV to our FTA genre will complement and boost our local content offering on our platform”, he said.
The 24-hour channel will feature a wide range of programming and shows ranging from news, business, sports, entertainment and other local programmes.
