Globacom has declared Friday, August 11, 2017, as the first FREE DATA DAY on the Glo network for all its eligible subscribers to get 200 MB free data to enjoy a free day of FREE browsing, chatting, streaming, downloading, uploading and lots more.
To this extent, subscribers who use 100MB plus N150 on voice calls OR N250 on voice calls between Friday, 4th and Thursday 10th August.
The product is open to all prepaid subscribers on the network who, on meeting the threshold of voice /data usage within seven days, are qualified to enjoy the Free Data Day.
Globacom further explained that the new product gives opportunity to subscribers on the Glo network to do so much more on the internet by browsing free of charge for a whole day.
“We appreciate the essence of the internet in contemporary world. We are through this product empowering our customers in an unprecedented way in their business, social and educational pursuits”, the company said.
According to Globacom, customers would be notified when they have qualified for the Free Data Day and that they do not need to dial any code to opt in or subscribe to any platform before enjoying the benefits.
"When a customer qualifies for the offering, he would be able to enjoy free data usage anytime that day. This unique initiative is first in Nigeria and unveils a new level of freedom to use data. Now the customers can enjoy this free data on the world class new 4G LTE network of Glo,” Globacom further explained.
The company stressed that in line with its promise to change the face of telecoms services in Nigeria, the Globacom network had been reinvigorated to provide stronger data and voice services to its subscribers, adding that it had enhanced the quality of its network to accommodate the anticipated traffic that the exciting product would add.
