MTN Nigeria has announced a scheduled network maintenance exercise to be carried out on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, affecting services in Adamawa, Borno, and Kano States.

The maintenance, which will run from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., involves a fibre cutover on the AFCOT–Bawo Village route and is aimed at improving long-term network performance and service reliability.

According to the company, the activity will impact 101 sites across 15 Local Government Areas, including 2G, 3G, 4G, and enterprise services.

Affected areas include Nasarawa LGA in Kano State; Girei, Song, Mubi North, Hong, Gombi, Fufore, Mubi South, Madagali, Michika, Maiha, Chibok, and Yola North LGAs in Adamawa State; and Askira/UBA and Shani LGAs in Borno State.

MTN said the upgrade is necessary to eliminate damaged fibre spans and reduce multiple joints along the route, which remains linear and unprotected.

The company expressed regret over any inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their understanding.
