Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has opened a Sim card registration window for subscribers affected by deactivation / disconnection and Nigerian subscribers under the aegis of National Association of Telecommunications Subscribers (NATCOMS) are happy about the gesture.
The NCC window for the registration of deactivated / disconnected Sim cards is now the only opportunity for subscribers all over Nigeria to have their deactivated / disconnected Sim cards registered for re-activation / re-connection again.
Chief Deolu Ogunbanjo, president, NATCOMS advised subscribers who Sim cards have been deactivated / disconnected, to go to the nearest customer care centre of their Sim network operator for registration and subsequent re-activation / re-connection.
Communications Service Providers (CSPs) are also encouraging deactivated / disconnected subscribers to come and register their Sim cards and get between N5,000 and N10,000 re-activation / re-connection bonuses for on-net calls.
It would be recalled that NATCOMS and Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) have severally appealed to Nigerian Communications Commission and Ministry of Communication Technology extend the Sim registration exercise to enable subscribers register their Sims.
