National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and Petroleum Equalisation Fund (Management) Board on Thursday inaugurated a joint Committee between the two Agencies to foster ICT Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Interns of PEF.
The brief ceremony took place at the Corporate Head Office of Petroleum Equalisation Fund.
NITDA is to serve as the Chair of the Committee, charged with the responsibility of providing a Policy Framework aimed at driving the programme.
Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami FBCS, Director General of NITDA, while making his remarks lamented the high rate of unemployment and underemployment in the country which amounts to 43% of the whole population, and also called on more collaboration between Government Agencies to promote IT Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Pantami said collaboration is key, "Individually we are one drop of water, together we can become an Ocean", adding that alone we can do little, together we can do more.
