In what appears to be a well designed market strategy to corner large chunk of the proceeds of the high yielding postal and courier market, TNT/ IAS has unveiled “Storm the Market” Promo which is an effort by the company to reward customers for their consistent patronage and loyalty to the company irrespective of the economic meltdown.
The company had in a recent media meeting held in Lagos recently explained that every shipment made by every customer through their network in the next two months will attract 10 percent discount. Stanley Nsemo-Livingstone, Corporate Affairs manager of the company revealed that the purpose of the promo was to encourage importers in the habit of sending their goods and cargoes through their friends and relatives to now begin to engage in personal shipment. In addition Livingstone said that TNT/IAS would within the period of the promo allow its trusted customers enjoy credit facilities.
TNT/IAS is a leading courier company in Nigeria and its customers cut across the automobile industry, telecoms, computing, healthcare and others.
IAS was one of the first entrants into the express business in Nigeria. It went into partnership with Europe based TNT in June 1999, to enjoy economies of scale. IAS handles parcels and consignments arriving Nigeria for TNT whereas TNT reciprocates the gesture by handling all Europe bound materials for IAS, according to Amechi Okoye, executive director of the company. IAS partnership with TNT has strengthened the company with value added products tailored at satisfying its numerous clients.
Christine Ajike, corporate affairs officer said that to be able to meet the needs of large enterprises the company has been working closely with its customers to help optimize and manage infrastructure, processes and technologies.
